- Year 1 in the library!
We are really enjoying using our new library and discovering lots of interesting and exciting books!
- On the Catwalk
We have practicing our posing skills as a special treat for our fantastic writing this morning! Which pose do you think is best 🤔?
- To celebrate the end of a fantastic term, tomorrow is party day! Everyone can come to school in non-uniform ready for an afternoon of festive activities and movies, plus a special American-style party lunch!
- Night Time Parent Event
Thanks to all those who came to our special reading event! The children really enjoyed it and I hope you had a good time too.
Reading daily really helps your child become a more confident reader and develop their love of reading. We try to make reading as fun and engaging as possible at school and I hope you could see how much the children enjoyed reading and exploring books.
- A week in Year One
We’ve spent lots of time out of the classroom this week; learning how best to look after a hedgehog, learning all about shapes and looking at the plants and trees we have around school!
- Building Volcanoes
As you can see we’re really enjoying using our team work skills to make a volcano! After the holidays we’ll be adding details and making them the right colour, before we make them erupt! Make sure you keep an eye out for our finished design!
- Outdoor Maths
We have been learning how to divide using different methods. We shared sweets, then went outside and showed how to share using chalk.
We enjoyed learning out in the sunshine!
- Our Y1 class have been creating habitat for frogs and toads as part of Wild Challenge. We are always looking at how we can improve our school grounds to support our local wildlife populations.
- Busy busy busy
We have been doing lots this week; learning about rhyming words, thinking of adjectives, writing about dinosaurs, as well as lots of lovely maths work!
- Learning about watercolours
We had an resident art expert showing us how to create a background with watercolours. We watched carefully and then had a try ourselves. We are going to develop this into a finished piece of work, so stay tuned to see what we can do!
