- Our Y1 class have been creating habitat for frogs and toads as part of Wild Challenge. We are always looking at how we can improve our school grounds to support our local wildlife populations.
- Busy busy busy
We have been doing lots this week; learning about rhyming words, thinking of adjectives, writing about dinosaurs, as well as lots of lovely maths work!
- Learning about watercolours
We had an resident art expert showing us how to create a background with watercolours. We watched carefully and then had a try ourselves. We are going to develop this into a finished piece of work, so stay tuned to see what we can do!
- Dinosaur Hunt…
We have been hunting for dinosaurs, and have thought about describing the mysterious creature…come back next week to find out if we manage to find it!
- The Happiness Pig
We watched a video about the happiness pig, who cheers all his friends up! Then we talked about what makes us happy and what we can do to make others happy.
- Welcome Back!
We hope you all had a great summer and enjoyed the hot weather! Now we are back at school, there are some things that happen differently now the children have moved into Year One. They will need to bring indoor PE kit on a Monday, and outdoor PE kit on a Wednesday. They will also need some clothes they don’t mind getting messy for their outdoor Eco sessions, which happen on a Monday. The best advice would be to bring all of these together on a Monday and then take them home on Friday.
Reading books and reading records will be sent home tomorrow for those children who bring in their book bags, and homework will be given daily.
Please make sure you return the slips for morning and after school clubs as quickly as possible as places are likely to fill up quickly!
Thanks, Mr Hodgson
Even though we’ve only been back at school for a day, there has already been some great learning going on!
