Year 4/5 F

  • Welcome to the new academic year 2019-2020

  • To celebrate the end of a fantastic term, tomorrow is party day! Everyone can come to school in non-uniform ready for an afternoon of festive activities and movies, plus a special American-style party lunch!

  • Treat Tuesday!

Well done to Mrs Mcveigh’s class who achieved the 100% homework reward last week. To celebrate we enjoyed donuts and festive tv with Miss Morris!

    Keep up the hard work!

  • Vikings and more!

Welcome to the second week of school 4/5! We have been working diligently in our maths to bring our multiplication tables up to speed. Our consistent top two students for our daily quiz are Peyton and Preston- well done! Everyone has a TT Rockstars login code and this will be handed out today. Please keep using them daily to master the super speed!!
In Connected Learning we have started our viking unit. Last week we learned about how the ships are built, and this week we will be designing a poster about Viking Life. Check Seesaw for progress photos and comments.
We also had a great effort put in last week for partner work to complete a two minute (approx) video about Solids, Liquids and Gasses.
So much is going on! Keep up to date with this blog, Seesaw and ask your student what they’ve learned. Here is a good start to the Viking sketches:

  • β€ͺSome of our Year 4/5 pupils have been busy harvesting a range of tomatoes for our school salad bar during their Eco-School session.‬

  • Welcome back!

    Hello everyone!
I hope you had a lovely six week break and are all ready for the new year. I know I sure am! Year 4/5 will be working really hard right from the start this September for amazing results. So far, so good πŸ™‚ Please remember to check Seesaw for updates regularly as we will be using this portal as well as Class Dojo (once I have it up and running properly) for parent-teacher-student communication.

For those of you unfamiliar with me, my name is Mrs Fox and I come from the great cold north… Canada! I’ve been in the UK almost four years now and have taught almost every year group going. I love having an open door, so feel free to speak with me either before or after school, I like to get to know everyone!

Have a great week and check back soon!
